Today marked another step in the right direction for me to be back to full fitness in time to qualify for the London Olympics.....speed! I ran 100% in spikes today and despite the rain and chilly temperatures it felt amazing...you really can't beat the feeling of running flat out! I also got to test out my swanky new adidas red-racer spikes. The stress fracture has healed really well and its so great to be able to do some running training again.
My fellow heptathlete Sarah Cowley is down from Auckland for a bit of a training camp this week, so great to have her here and we can push each other that extra few % in our sessions. Really looking forward to more training sessions together when we hit our Swiss training camp in less than a month....bring on summer!
